Exercise 1: present continuous

(Practise your skills in using the present progressive)

Present progressive (ing form) – cloze test (difficulty: 2 of 5 – rather easy)

Fill the gaps with the correct verb form of the present progressive. This tense is also called present continuous. Consequently, you always have to use an ing form in a gap. Do not use any short forms and don’t forget to capitalize at the beginning of a sentence.

  • Example: “The daughter ________ the housework.” (do) → “The daughter is doing the housework.”
